Dharma is the Eye of the Law

If you live in the captivity of consciousness, which is dependent on the connection with sight, hearing, smell, taste, touch and thought, you live in the captivity of instinct, you live in the captivity of the six sense organs in which these three poisons are present: greed, hatred and confusion. If you are a slave to the thieves who enter and exit the gates of the senses, who, under the influence of the habits they have taken up, forcibly demand their perishable wealth, thus depriving you of your true potential with your consent, like a wretch who limits himself, you wander in the cycle of birth and death of Samsara after these six states of existence, in which, in view of the Law of Impermanence, you naturally suffer with constant hardship. But if, through your understanding of what is said here, you appease your anger through meditation and see in the last kind of consciousness your capacity for understanding, distinguishing and memory, which is really your experience of the Law of Impermanence, independent of anything or anyone, you will immediately cease to confess your endless misery - for your single glance and your willingness to end your discontent is enough to see the buddha within you and to transcend the three poison-infected states of sensuality. Ah yes, responsibility is as light as a weight... and not everything that glitters is a real jewel.
